Background: Project Open Democracy

Project Open Democracy seeks to give people a greater say in government decisions on an ongoing, issue-by-issue basis and, where applicable, on a global scale.

Open democracy opens the path to finally ending the scourge of the lobby industry, which is strangling modern democracies everywhere.

8 Key Principles of Open Democracy

  1. No War: Initiating, Supplying or Funding
Governments should not wage or engage in war directly, or indirectly by providing funding or supplying weapons to conflict zones, or by entering into defense agreements or alliances without public discussion, debate, and consent.
    Do you AGREE or DISAGREE?

  2. Free Speech:  Censoring, Restricting and Repealing
No censorship or restriction of free speech should occur without public consent. Existing laws limiting free speech should be revisited and, where they are deemed contrary to the principle of free speech, be repealed.
    Do you AGREE or DISAGREE?

  3. Global Agreements: Signing, Complying and Rescinding
Governments should not sign treaties or comply with mandates from organizations like the UN, ICC, or WHO without public consent, as these entities often operate without democratic oversight. Existing agreements should be revisited and, where appropriate, rescinded.
    Do you AGREE or DISAGREE?

  4. Public Health: Abortion, Vaccines & Dissent
Public health measures such as abortion, vaccine mandates, lock downs, and restrictions on dissent, should be implemented only with public consent.
    Do you AGREE or DISAGREE?

  5. Climate Change: Action, Subsidies and Agreements
Measures to address climate change, including net-zero goals, subsidies for specific industries, and agreements with international bodies, should require public approval.
    Do you AGREE or DISAGREE?

  6. Economic Policy: Taxes, Tariffs and Spending
Significant economic decisions, such as raising taxes, imposing tariffs, increasing military spending, funding industry bailouts or increasing government bureaucracy, should be made only after public consultation and agreement.
    Do you AGREE or DISAGREE?

  7. National Sovereignty: Migration, Borders and Agreements
Actions impacting sovereignty, such as increasing migration levels, reducing border security, or entering into international agreements, should require public consent.
    Do you AGREE or DISAGREE?

  8. Post-election Mandates: Dismantling, Introducing and Changing
Newly formed governments cannot dismantle, introduce or change policy by claiming post-election mandates that do not exist. All significant change should require public consent.
    Do you AGREE OR DISAGREE?

Ending the Scourge of the Lobby Industry

Nothing will, however, change until the influence of the lobby industry is nullified.

This is one of the key goals of open democracy.

If the politicians don't have the final say on the big issues, guess what?

No more incentive for lobbyists to spend millions on buying or influencing them.

Bye bye lobby industry.

Hello real democracy and real solutions to real problems.

So, before voting, ask your local candidates a simple question ...

About PByT Surveys & Open Democracy

The PByT surveys represent a rolling snapshot of global sentiment from real people whose identity has been verified. The results can be analyzed in a variety of ways to get a better understanding of key issues utilizing Bayesian statistics - a mathematical concept that updates beliefs in light of new data or evidence.

As a result, these surveys have the potential to be the most definitive resources on some of the most critically important issues of modern times and serve as the basis for the idea of "open democracy."

Have your say and help shape the interconnected world of tomorrow based on trust, mutual-aid and cooperation.
