Which plan should I choose?
If you are joining as an individual you can choose between the Personal or Premium plans. You can join join the Personal Plan and then upgrade to the Premium Plan at any time. If you wish to register any type of business, group or organization please select the Business/Group Plan.
Can I use the Personal Plan for my business?
Yes you can, however, it may be better to open a separate Premium or Group Plan to keep personal and business details separate.
Do I need a personal plan in order to open a business/group account?
While you don't need to be a Personal Plan member to open a Group Plan account it is, however, a good idea to have both. Your business/group plan builds your business/group reputation and your Personal Plan builds your personal reputation. In addition, if you wish to add Key Personnel in your business or group profile, those key personnel will need to be Personal Plan members in order to be added.
I trade under my personal name. How should I set up my business plan account?
If you trade under your personal name, you can setup your business account with a descriptive title. For instance, if you are a plumber trading under Joe Bloggs, set up your business account as Joe Bloggs Plumbing, or, if you are an online marketer, you could use Joe Bloggs Online Marketing.
The more descriptive the title the more easily your business will be found by potential customers.
Alternatively, you can open a Premium Account and add the services you provide in your profile.
Either way will work.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, the minimum age is 16 years.
How is revenue defined?
Revenue is defined as the gross annual income before costs and taxes in the previous financial year (US dollars), or an estimate for new organizations.
What is the Social Capital Fund?
An integral component of the Powered by Trust service is providing funding to the nonprofit service sector through a Social Capital Levy included in the fee structure of the Business & Group Plan, equal to a percentage of revenue.
