It signals the end of representive democracy corrupted by partisan politics, undermined by lobby groups and betrayed by the mainstream media.

8 Key Principles of Open Democracy

1. No War: Initiating, Supplying or Funding
   Governments should not wage war directly, often by manufacturing consent through a compromised mainstream media, or indirectly by supplying weapons to conflict zones, and by entering into defense agreements without public discussion, debate, and consent.

2. Free Speech:  Censoring, Restricting and Repealing
   No censorship or restriction of free speech should occur without public consent. Existing laws limiting free speech should be revisited and, where they are deemed contrary to the principle of free speech, be repealed.

3. Global Agreements: Signing, Complying and Rescinding
   Governments should not sign treaties or comply with mandates from organizations like the UN, ICC, or WHO without public consent, as these entities often operate without democratic oversight. Existing agreements should be revisited and, where appropriate, rescinded.

4. Public Health: Abortion, Vaccines & Dissent
   Public health measures such as abortion, vaccine mandates, lock downs, and restrictions on dissent, should be implemented only with public consent.

5. Climate Change: Action, Subsidies and Agreements
   Measures to address climate change, including net-zero goals, subsidies for specific industries, and agreements with international bodies, should require public approval.

6. Economic Policy: Taxes, Tariffs and Spending
   Significant economic decisions, such as raising taxes, imposing tariffs, increasing military spending, funding industry bailouts or increasing government bureaucracy, should be made only after public consultation and agreement.

7. National Sovereignty: Migration, Borders and Agreements
   Actions impacting sovereignty, such as increasing migration levels, reducing border security, or entering into international agreements, should require public consent.

8. Post-election Mandates: Dismantling, Introducing and Changing
   Newly formed governments cannot dismantle, introduce or change policy by claiming post-election mandates that do not exist. All significant change should require public consent.
