PByT — Powered by Trust — is a platform designed to help humanity navigate the transition from an industrial civilization to a new post-industrial world.
For decades, futurists like Alvin Toffler predicted that the industrial age would give way to a new civilization shaped by information, technology, and new forms of social organization.
That transition is now happening — but our institutions are struggling to keep up.
PByT exists to help bridge that gap through trust, participation, accountability, and a shared vision for the future that can end the misery, suffering and the dislocation.
“Humanity faces a quantum leap forward. It faces the deepest social upheaval and creative restructuring of all time. Without clearly recognizing it, we are engaged in building a remarkable new civilization from the ground up. This is the meaning of the Third Wave.”Alvin Toffler
Why the world feels so unstable
Much of today’s chaos is not random. It reflects a deeper civilizational crisis:
- technology is changing faster than institutions can adapt
- many people sense change but lack a framework to understand it
- opportunistic leaders exploit fear and confusion
- market values have displaced moral and civic values
We are not just facing broken politics. We are witnessing the breakdown of an old story that can't be fixed using the same ideas that created it.
When the Market Becomes the Master
Over time, civil society has increasingly been reshaped into market society — a world where human beings are reduced to data points, community is weakened, and morality is pushed into the private sphere.
The market was meant to serve society. Instead, it has come to dominate it.
The Good news! For the first time in history, humanity has the tools, concepts, and technology to consciously guide the emergence of a new civilization!
PByT is one of these tools with five key goals.
- To identify and expose the “blind men” suppressing the emergence of a new civilization, through the Global Leader Reputation Index.
- To give people a greater say in government decisions through Open Democracy.
- To create a Global Social Capital Fund as the basis for a more fair post-industrial economy and society.
- To expand the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court globally so that power no longer means impunity.
- And, importantly, to unite the world behind a common vision to end the division, the conflict and the hate.
