Background: How Open Democracy can bring Peace to the Middle East

The Australian Greens' plan to end the Gaza genocide and to finally achieve peace in the Middle East provides a solid foundation for debate and discussion away from the bots, the trolls and the haters.

There will, however, not be any peace until the Politics of Division (POD) is exposed, addressed and curtailed.

It is not just the politicians using POD to gain power, we are all complict, often inadvertantly, every time we spread lies, engage with hatred or malice, promote violence or commit the greatest injustice of all - dehumanize our opponents.

A key goal of Project Open Democracy is counter POD and the PODsters by providing a safe space for civil debate and discussion and the ability to arrive at solutions through a process of iteration, including discussion, debate and voting on key questions and issues.

This can begin by exposing the greatest threat to peace in the Middle East.

There will be no peace in the Middle East until toxic and pervasive influence of POD and the PODsters, both malicious and inadvertant, comes to an end? (Agree/Disagree)

About PByT Surveys & Open Democracy

The PByT surveys represent a rolling snapshot of global sentiment from real people whose identity has been verified. The results can be analyzed in a variety of ways to get a better understanding of key issues utilizing Bayesian statistics - a mathematical concept that updates beliefs in light of new data or evidence.

As a result, these surveys have the potential to be the most definitive resources on some of the most critically important issues of modern times and serve as the basis for the idea of "open democracy."

Have your say and help shape the interconnected world of tomorrow based on trust, mutual-aid and cooperation.
