Australia Transitioning to Open Democracy

The greatest change in how Australia is governed since Federation

Quick overview of project as draft script for ads

The outcome of the federal election will either be more of the same, or real and sustainable change through open democracy.

Open democracy is about giving all Australians a greater say in government decisions, not just occasionally through a plebiscite or a referendum, but on an ongoing, issue-by-issue basis.

For Australia, this represents the greatest change in how it is governed since Federation.

For the world, it offers an example and pathway to peaceful co-existence.

So, before you vote, ask your local candidates if they support open democracy, then vote accordingly.

Open democracy, it's time!

2025 Federal Election Opportunity

As it stands, the most likely outcome of the upcoming federal election will be a hung parliament at a crucial time of unprecedented global turmoil and change.

It is in the interest of the country to have a government that is both united in purpose and is able to respond to global events and pressures with full support of the nation.

Open democracy can deliver this outcome and the political parties or political organizations that embrace open democracy will reap electoral rewards.

In fact, open democracy may well be the issue that will decide who will be the next Australian prime minister.

Needless to say, this development has the potential to dominate debate and discussion right up to the election date.

LAUNCH VIDEO

We are inviting representatives from both the Palestinian and Jewish communities to jointly launch open democracy in a 60 second commercial.

This will demonstrate how open democracy can begin to heal the divisions, ending the hate and the acrimony much more effectively than government regulation and censorship.

Australia is uniquely placed to lead the world in transitioning to open democracy and that is why we are inviting prominent Australians to support the project by attending the launch, which will be featured on either 60 minutes or on Seven's Spotlight TV show.

This is a unique opportunity not only be part of a history-making event - the greatest change in how Australia is governed since Federation - but also to help unite an increasingly divided Australia and, by extension and by example, an increasingly divided world.

The Studio

The video will be shot at Studio Commercial in the heart of the Sydney CBD.
