How to achieve peace in the Middle East?
A people-led 8 point plan to achieve peace in the Middle East, finally!
Background information: Project Open Democracy
Political leaders and the political processes in representative democracies are failing in the face of the growing violence and the return of the horrors of war.
Albert Einstein provided the simple reason for this ongoing failure: You cannot solve a problem with the same kind of thinking you used when you created it.
It is time for a new approach - open democracy.
Open democracy, by marshalling global opinion in a structured way, can achieve a peaceful resolution of the Middle East crisis and finally put an end to the suffering and the injustice.
The following people-led, 8 point plan for peace in the Middle East provides a foundation for debate and discussion away from the bots, the trolls and the propaganda peddlers.
Importantly, open democracy will discourage politicians from exploiting social divisions for political gain, while forcing lobby groups into the open.
Have your say starting with ...
It is time for the lobby groups to put their case to the people directly, instead of hounding politicians, suppressing criticism and undermining open discussion? (Agree/Disagree)

About PByT Surveys & Open Democracy
The PByT surveys represent a rolling snapshot of global sentiment from real people whose identity has been verified. The results can be analyzed in a variety of ways to get a better understanding of key issues utilizing Bayesian statistics - a mathematical concept that updates beliefs in light of new data or evidence.
As a result, these surveys have the potential to be the most definitive resources on some of the most critically important issues of modern times and serve as the basis for the idea of "open democracy."
