Paris Climate Agreement Relevance?

In a flurry of executive action, President Trump is pulling the US out of the Paris Climate Agreement bringing into question its relevance. 

Given that the US is the world's largest economy, should other countries do the same and withdraw, or stay the course as signatories to the Agreement.

Option 1. Stay the course. The Agreement is still relevant.

Option 2: Withdraw. The Agreement is no longer relevant.
