Kammy Cordner-Hunt
Kammy Cordner Hunt, Lead Senate Candidate for Victoria
I have lived in the Indi Electorate since the 1980s, in North East Victoria, which is famous for having 4 consecutive terms of an independent representative. I am known locally as an educator, a former shire councillor and long-term environmental activist.
I have a B.Sc majoring in Geology, a Dip.Ed and more recently gained a Masters of Human Rights.
I have been farming here with my family for over 30 years. I am an educator, having taught at Primary, Secondary and TAFE level, as well as being a sports coach and coach trainer. Running a local sporting club led me to preside over its state level sporting organisation, and as a Shire Councillor I served on State Committees for Environment, Resource Management and Alpine Management.
I have been politically active in local and regional communities now for two decades, and founded One Planet Party in 2018. This subsequently merged with Save the Planet to become federally registered as Vote Planet, and then, under the Morrison Government’s electoral reform, merged with others to form FUSION.
