Frontline Services
Are we adequately supporting people who need help now?
Whatever the longer-term solution to domestic violence, women and children facing immediate danger need somewhere safe to go and access to effective support.
Governments have substantially increased spending on domestic and family violence, yet frontline organisations continue to report pressure on crisis accommodation, legal assistance, counselling and other support services.
Prevention and long-term social change cannot become an excuse for failing people who need protection today.
Question:
To what extent do you agree or disagree that Australia's frontline domestic violence services are adequately funded to meet current demand?
