Should reducing alcohol-related harm be part of the solution?

Alcohol does not cause domestic violence, and most people who consume alcohol do not become violent. However, research has repeatedly identified alcohol as a significant risk factor in the frequency and severity of some domestic and family violence.
This raises a difficult policy question. Governments can restrict alcohol availability through measures such as trading hours, licensing conditions and other targeted controls, but these measures also affect millions of responsible consumers and businesses.
Question:
To what extent do you agree or disagree that stronger restrictions on alcohol sales should form part of Australia's strategy to reduce domestic violence?
