National Plan to End Violence Against Women and Children
Can Australia end violence against women and children in one generation?
Australia's National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022–2032 sets an ambitious goal: ending gender-based violence in one generation.
Achieving that goal will require more than government programs and funding. It requires identifying what is working, what is failing and, critically, why violence continues despite decades of intervention.
PByT proposes opening that process to ongoing public participation, allowing experts, frontline workers, people with lived experience and ordinary Australians to examine the evidence, debate the alternatives and help identify where change is needed.
This can start with tracking the confidence that the plan is working.
